Michter's Toasted Barrel Rye

DISTILLED AND BOTTLED IN KENTUCKY

In its continued pursuit of offering the greatest American whiskey, Michter’s is proud to release the 2026 edition of its US★1 Toasted Barrel Finish Rye. Beginning with fully matured US★1 Kentucky Straight Rye at barrel strength, the whiskey is aged for an additional period in a second custom barrel made from 24-month air-dried wood and toasted to exacting specifications. The result is a remarkably rich, complex rye with notes of toffee, black walnut, and cherry complemented by pronounced spice and beautifully rounded oak. The average strength of the barrels in this limited release is 109.1 proof.

  • Each barrel is bottled at its particular alcohol level at the time of bottling. The average strength in the 2026 release is 109.1 proof / 54.55% ABV
  • A rich, decadent expression of rye. Layers of toffee, honey, and black walnut lead into dark chocolate, salted caramel, cherry, and mint, with pronounced rye spice balanced by rounded oak and toastiness on the finish. It lingers with warm, rich gingerbread notes and a beautiful toastiness reminding us that memories are often made with a campfire, good friends, and a great pour.
